professor Richard Dawkins.
Soms krijg ik wel eens reacties op de onderwerpen in mijn blogboek. De volgende is een reactie van een trouwe Canadese lezer op mijn artikeltje over professor Richard Dawkins van 26 december.
I happen to wholeheartedly agree with Dr.Dawkins` viewpoints and analyses of religion. Too many events are lately pointing an accusing finger at the different religions and their abuse of the power, that comes with it. Like Lord Acton so neatly verbalized it: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men". The way Christmas is being 'celebrated' lately, has nothing to do with religion and everything with corporate power. In fact, I believe, that if Christ came back to earth today, the last thing he would choose to be is a Christian.
When I wish everybody reading this blog, a merry Christmas, it should not be taken as referring to a religious event, but a pagan one, that got cloaked in a religious robe.
Merry Christmas and have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011.
